04.22.09 - So it has been awhile since iI have updated anythign here. Been so busy with many other things. Such is life. I hope to get back to working on the site sometime soon. I would really like to ad some more motion to the website in the header and what not. I reall dig working on that kinda stuff. So i figues if I pick something like that, that i really like doing I am more apt to actually do it.
I actually came across a SUPER COOL piece of software this week called Capture Magic. Some might be thinking... "Oooo, software to capture video from tape." Well it is MUCH cooler than that. This simple piece of software (cost $159) allows you to capture several cameras at once direct to your computer. I had been shining about only being able to capture direct to disk 1 camera, and when i run 3 camera shoots all the time that made me record the other cameras to tape and spend the time logging and digitizing the other 2 tapes to the computer before i even thought about editing. Well this program works with the fundimental coding of the firewire cards allowing it to communicate and record several cameras. So you could now record 3 cameras on 1 firewire care (that is if you have 3 firewire inputs on the card) Now it is limited to the bandwidth your firewire card can handle but besides that...this program rox! I really suggest you check it out if you record firect to disk. And as a side note, if you ever wanted to know if you are a nerd. jHere is a simple test. If that thought of a program like Capture Magic makes you really excited and giddy...then yes you are a nerd. join the club... Till next time...
